Statement Of Faith
WE BELIEVE
The Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is the only God-given authority upon which all church doctrine is to be based.
WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE TO TEACH:
There is one everlasting eternal God who is infinite in power and holy in all His attributes. He is, in essence, a spirit.
This one God revealed Himself as Father in the work of creation, Son in the work of redemption, and Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the visible image of the invisible God. In His incarnation He was both human and divine. He was also known as the Son of man.
The work of Jesus Christ upon the earth fulfilled the Old Testament law, and wrought salvation through His death, burial and resurrection.
Believers are to initially follow Christ by way of repentance, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the Holy Spirit. They are to continue to follow Him by a walk of faith.
Living by faith in Christ Jesus allows us to be the recipients of Divine grace (favor). Faith in the blood of Christ is our only basis of forgiveness. Faith in and confession of the name of Jesus provides authority against the powers of darkness and power to serve as ministers of the Spirit.
The fullness of the Holy Spirit is given initially with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. Believers are to seek to be used in the various gifts of the Spirit for the edifying of the church.
There is a resurrection of the saved and of the unsaved. The saved will be resurrected to everlasting life, and the unsaved will be eternally damned.
Christians are to endeavor to be holy in their spirit and body. They are to be modest in all aspects of their lifestyle.
The church is the body of Christ with a mission to preach the Gospel to every creature. It is to be overseen by pastors and/or elders that have been duly chosen to be leaders. Its growth is dependent upon the function of every member and the blessing of God.
Taking our example from the Biblical account of creation, we believe that marriage is to be defined as a civil/spiritual union, between one man and one woman dissolvable by death. We hereby do not recognize or support polygamy, bigamy, and homosexual unions.
